Wonderful staff, at an excellent bike shop. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. I attend the bike groups and have met many nice people, as well as becoming a more avid cyclist.
It's a great place to work, great product and great staff.
To wit: yesterday, I went in planning to purchase cleats and clip-in pedals. Not knowing much of anything about options or what might best suit my needs, it was easy to engage in a conversation with the staff member who helped me (and I wish I had done a better job of making a note of your name - you were SO helpful!). He even remembered me from a previous visit to the store. He went through various options with me, and I never felt like I was being condescended to or upsold. In fact, , while I was trying on regular-price shoes, he even went through the clearance section to find a pair in my size (which was the pair I ended up buying). If that isn't superior service, I don't know what is.
I have only exceptionally positive things to say about the folks at Performance Bike in Paoli. Having recently begun training for a 75-mile charity bike ride (on a hybrid bike purchased from Performance Bike a year ago), I have come to very much respect and appreciate the professionalism, knowledge, and approachability of the staff there.
I highly recommend Performance Bike! I had the pleasure of working with Richard Foss while deciding what bike would fit my needs and he went above and beyond to help me with my decision! I highly recommend!
I purchased a Ridley Fenix road bike from the Paoli store. The staff has been very helpful whenever I have brought the bike in for repairs. They have replaced a crank (defective) and a fork (paint was peeling) without any hesitations. There has been a fair amount of turnover amongst the part-time staff, but that isn't surprising. The full-time crew, particularly the manager (CJ) and assistant manager (Dan) have been great. If you are looking at a bike from one of the lines they carry, you should definitely check them out.
